Profile

The company began manufacturing of aluminium powders in 1940, at Minworth in the UK, when Metals and Alloys, the former parent company, became a supplier of coarse powders for military applications.

In 1969 Alpoco was incorporated and in 1970 a powder atomising facility was established on a new site at Holyhead on the island of Anglesey, North Wales. In 1999 Alpoco acquired a 51% share in Benda Lutz Alpoco, (BLA) Skawina, Poland.

unique pilot gas atomising unit. The BLA plant in Poland produces medium atomised powders.
